2016-17 Season
2015-16 Season Region 1 Champs

The Knights are Region 1 Champs! This was a very talented group of baseball players and together we broke almost all of the schools team records. We finished the season with a 20-8 record and a 14-4 record in Region, earning the first ever school baseball Region Championship. The 20-8 set a new school record for most wins in a season. This team also went farther in the State Playoffs than any other Northridge Baseball Team. In the state tournament we lost a heart beaker in extra innings to a team that ended up winning it all. Through all the highs and lows, this team stuck together to make this a memorial season.

The Knights had a season filled with ups and downs. We came in 3rd in our region, which allowed us a chance to enter the state tournament. Sadly, in the tournament we lost our first two games and were eliminated. Both these games were hard fought, last inning victories. Our expectations were much higher considering the talent that we had at all levels, but with most of our team returning we expect great things for next year.

Baseball After Northridge

It is rare that all the returning Jr's sign to play college baseball before their Senior year begins. Austin Adams, Caleb Schorr and Ethan Udy have all signed their National Letter of Commitment to play college baseball. Austin will pitch next year at Lane Community College. Caleb will play the infield for Arizona Christian University. Ethan will be in the outfield for Dixie State University but he will also be playing football as well. Northridge baseball coaches are expecting big things from theses 3 athletes.

2014-15 5A North All Start

There were a lot of Northridge Knights involved with the 2015 Senior All Star Game. The 5A North team was coached by the Northridge staff (Coach McCord, Coach Poll and Coach Quarnberg). Carson Chournos and Kaden Taylor were 2 of the 16 players chosen in the All Star Senior game. They both represented this program proudly. Kaden Taylor took the mound in the 8th inning and had a 1, 2, 3 inning. Kaden has been our work horse and proved once again why he is one of the top pitchers in our state. Carson Chournos caught the entire game and bullpens in between innings. Carson found a way to get on base, getting on base 2 out of 3 times and he scored twice. Carson was award the Coaches Choice Award.

2014-15 Season

We had a great season this year. We had an overall record of 18-9 and a region record of 12-6. This team set a school record for most wins in a season. This years team was a very solid unit and this team became a brotherhood. We were lead by Carson Chournos, Kyle Eichmeier, Ben Jackson and Kaden Taylor. Our goal was to come together as brothers and to always compete (C & B). This group became students of the game, they played with passion and pride. This group has set a new standard for Knights baseball.

Field Looks Great But We Need HELP

A big shout-out goes to Coach McCord, Coach Vernon, Matt Quarnberg and others who have spent so much time making our field look like a Minor League Park. There is still a lot more our field needs, so the players have every opportunity to get better. The first thing the team needs is a batting cage and the cage is very important to our teams success. The cage we have is unsafe and uneven. The administration said they will match whatever money we bring in. The goal is around 4 thousand. Just the net alone can cost up to 2 thousand dollars. We would like to remove the chain link fence and have that side be the new entrance into the cage. We need to level out that area, we would like to pour concrete and also put in 2 mounds. We may need new poles and new netting. We will need pitching rubbers and home plates. We were also looking at getting a pitching machine, one that we could use all year long. We would like to have these updates completed for Fall Ball. We will track our progress on our way to meeting our goal. If you would like to donate to this major project, you can make a donation in the main office.  Please tell them the donation needs to go into the baseball account for the field project.  All donations may be used as a tax right off.  Donations can be made anonymously or we can add your name to a field contribution sign.  Please e-mail Coach McCord at smccord@dsdmail.net with any questions.
